Real Estate Agent Harassment Case - Legal Solutions and Remedies

Mr.X and Mrs.X, both elderly citizens aged around 70, invested their life savings into purchasing a flat in City A. They engaged Mr.Y, a real estate agent who claimed to have strong political connections. From the beginning, Mr.Y created numerous complications. He pressured the elderly couple to sign contracts without proper disclosure, failing to mention that one of the property sellers was an NRI, which significantly complicated the transaction process. When Mr.X and Mrs.X raised concerns about hidden charges and demanded transparency, Mr.Y began harassing them through phone calls, threats, and visits to their home. He used his alleged political connections to intimidate them, claiming they couldn’t take legal action against him. The harassment escalated when Mr.Y started demanding additional commissions and threatened to sabotage their property deal if they didn’t comply with his unreasonable demands.
