Mr.X had been working in City A for over two years and applied for a Police Clearance Certificate for his passport. He lived in a rented apartment with a valid rent agreement in his name. During the police verification process, the verification officer requested a No Objection Certificate from his landlord, Mr.Y. However, Mr.Y refused to provide the NOC, citing concerns about potential legal complications. Mr.X found himself stuck as the police insisted on the landlord's NOC for completing the verification process. The landlord's refusal was creating delays in his passport application, affecting his job opportunities abroad. This situation became more complex when Mr.X discovered that his previous rent agreements were not in his name, making his residential history verification challenging.Advice in Such Cases
