What appeared to be a normal meetup quickly turned into a nightmare when Mr. X was confronted by multiple individuals who threatened him with physical harm and demanded money. They claimed to have recorded compromising material and threatened to share it with his family and workplace unless he paid a substantial amount. Mr. X managed to escape but was left traumatized and unsure about his legal options. Such honey trap cases are increasingly common on dating platforms where criminals exploit victims through intimidation, extortion, and blackmail.
