One of my clients recently had a case which I am explaining below and if you are stuck in such similar situation, here is what to do.
Note: Due to attorney-client privilege, I cannot disclose complete case details or identify the actual parties involved. However, I am sharing the essential facts and legal approach so that if you find yourself in a similar situation, you can understand the available solutions and legal remedies.
Mr.X ordered buttermilk through X.app, a popular quick delivery platform in City A. Upon delivery, he discovered the product was expired by 10 days past its expiry date. Fortunately, Mr.X checked the date before consumption and immediately contacted customer support. While X.app refunded the product cost, they offered inadequate compensation considering the potential health risks. Mr.X approached our office seeking legal remedies for this consumer rights violation. The case involved not just a refund issue but potential criminal liability for the delivery platform and vendor for supplying expired food products that could have caused serious health complications.
